Now an eagerly anticipated annual event amongst local real ale fans, the Institute Beer Festival starts at 12 noon on the day before the Show and lasts for three days. As well as a mouth-watering choice of 25 carefully selected real ales, the 2019 Festival included a new look cider bar as well.A wonderful atmosphere was enhanced by live music on each of the days courtesy of Jon Brindley, The Coustics and Cartwright.Admission to the Festival is free and we are indebted to Pembertons for kindly sponsoring the souvenir pint pots and to everyone who sponsors a cask (listed below).
2021 Beer FestivalThe Beer Festival will be returning this year, starting at 12 noon on Friday 3rd September and continuing until the Sunday evening. The line up of real ales will be announced on this page during the week leading up to the Festival and Tasting Notes will be available to download prior to the event starting.
