2024 SHOW ~ SATURDAY 7th SEPTEMBER
Duck Trail
The Duck Trail was introduced in 2017 and has quickly
become a popular addition to Show weekend. Last year
hundreds of people followed the trail around the village to
admire the creativity and duck-tastic ingenuity of the
displays.
Villagers are encouraged to make a duck-themed display in
their gardens to last for the Saturday of the Show and the
day after. Duck Trail maps are available from the marquee
on the afternoon of the Show and can also be seen on our
Facebook and Instagram pages.
Each display is given a number and the Trail starts and
finishes at The Institute.
Everyone who goes on the Duck Trail can vote by picking
their top three. The winning display will be the one with the
highest number of marks.
The theme in 2023 was ‘Ducks on Tv. Congratulations to the
Owen Family from Manor Road who won the coveted Duck
Trail Trophy with their excellent entry (pictured above).
Our thanks go to Roland L. Whitehead, Daughter &
Granddaughters for kindly sponsoring the event and to
Ruth and Anna Bretherton (and their Dad!) for the excellent
organisation.
Full details on how to enter the 2024 Duck Trail can be found in the Brochure. This year’s theme is ‘Ducks in Books.
Last date for entries is 1st September, which gives the girls time to make sure you are on the Trail Map, which will be
available to download from our Facebook Page on Saturday 8th September.
Hard copies will be available from the marquee while the Show is taking place.
