Now an eagerly anticipated annual event amongst local real
ale fans, the Institute Beer Festival starts at 4.30pm on the
day before the Show and lasts for three days. As well as a
mouth-watering choice of 25 carefully selected real ales,
the 2024 will feature at least one craft lager.
A wonderful atmosphere is enhanced by live music on each
of the days courtesy of Anthem, Cartwright Guitar Show
and Voodoo Live.
Admission to the Festival is free and we are indebted to
Wareing Buildings for kindly sponsoring the souvenir pint
pots and to everyone who sponsors a cask (2024 list below).
2024 Beer Festival
This year’s Beer Festival will start at 4.30pm on Friday 6th September
and continues until the Sunday evening. The line up of real ales will be
announced on this page during the week leading up to the Festival and
Tasting Notes will be available to download prior to the event starting.
